Why we built Moritz.
Our founders are Harvard- and Oxford-trained attorneys who came up through Big Law, advising companies like OpenAI on the contracts and counsel that shape how modern technology gets built.
We’ve watched the same pattern from the inside: in-house legal teams are constrained on time, resources, and jurisdictions. Outside counsel is expensive and slow. Founders end up signing things they shouldn’t, and attorneys spend nights on work software could do in minutes.
So we built the alternative. Moritz combines senior attorneys from firms like Fenwick, Cooley, and Goodwin with software purpose-built for legal work — not retrofitted onto it.
